Neal S. Parikh, MD, MS, is an assistant professor of neuroscience in the Brain and Mind Research Institute and an assistant professor of neurology at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Parikh earned a bachelor of arts degree from Yale College and his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College. After completing an adult neurology residency also at Weill Cornell Medical Center, he completed vascular neurology and neuro-epidemiology training at Columbia University, in an NIH T32-funded post-doctoral fellowship. There, he earned a masters of science degree in epidemiology. His research interest centers around understanding the neurological and cerebrovascular ramifications of liver disease, particularly subclinical liver fibrosis. His work has been published in several leading neurology journals, including Stroke and JAMA Neurology.
