Evan J. Kyzar, MD PhD received his BS in neuroscience at Tulane University and his MD/PhD from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). At UIC, Evan conducted his thesis work in the lab of Dr. Subhash Pandey where he investigated the effects of developmental alcohol exposure on epigenetic mechanisms in the amygdala. Evan received an F30 to fund his thesis work and has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals, including a recent first-author publication describing his thesis work in Biological Psychiatry. He is a member of the AΩA Honors Society and has received awards from the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology, Society for Neuroscience, and Society of Biological Psychiatry.
